|I truly understand the power of true friendship…After going down a long winding road of self-discovery I have finally realized how important real friendship is. I’m not talking about shallow unkind friendship, I’m talking about real solid quality friendships.
Since being incarcerated I’ve earned college level degrees in Applied Science (2017), Associates of Arts (2008), college level trades in Automotive Electronics, Automotive Transmissions HVAC tech and E.P.A. license as an HVAC tech, all earned at Lamar State College Port Arthur. Also first published at that same college in the 2008 version of The Expressions Magazine where I won first place in the Special essay category. I further completed a Hospice Care provider class, Cognitive Intervention, forklift license, Voyagers, Anger management class – entered a Kairos and Koby religious retreat, certificates in Career Planning, Financial Literacy, entered The World Bible School were I earned too many certificates to name in this small space. Written many unpublished screenplays, novels, stage plays and a show. My second published effort entitled M.U.D. see Amazon.com. The highlight of my self-imposed reformation was being interviewed by Mr. Richard Ross @ Harper’s Magazine, article awaiting publication concerning preventive measures to stop child incarceration.
Even in prison I work at being as big as I can be, with that I can never accomplish too much.
NEXT: One Long Hot Summer and Uncommon Factors, the latter is an autobiography by and about Derrick L. Griffin.
I’m looking forward to developing a great friendship with you…
