Want to become a female nurse/doctor serious only… I am considering feasibility of becoming an American expat and retiring in either Southeast Asia, South America or the Mediterranean Region (southern Europe), eventually applying for legal residency. I will be on a fixed income. For life and feel a developing countries exchange rate for the U.S. dollar will have a more advantageous result on my purchasing power given the continued projections of chaos in the currency markets. I realize, I could utilize the important need for an intelligent woman as a contact / resource liaison (person). I may be needing information regarding immigration laws, legal residency requirements, cost of living including real estate questions or foreign ownership. I would also be interested in tuition cost of some of your universities, specifically nursing and MD programs.

For my part, I need to now give back. I am 69 years old, and time and seeing each day I haven’t seen before is important and a blessing, though I am in good health. Being a believer in higher education, my “giving back” could take the form of myself assisting a younger, highly motivated woman in furthering her aspirations for a better education or vocational pursuit for her longer term goals, or career. This could help cover tuition, transportation and registration cost. So a nursing or business degree could be possible, in your country. University level education is far too expensive in the USA. I would also be cautiously receptive in being a partner in some very small business enterprise in your country with a woman with good basic business sense. This small venture if successful should help me generate extra income to help meet my cost of living expenses incurred in your county, where I would be living or visiting part time.

In closing, with a growing world population and less and less resources to meet their needs, opportunity is in every bike shop, sewing shop, corner vegetable store or chicken or tilapia fish farm. For me just establishing a small commercial organic garden would ensure sustainability as a producer, not just a consumer. I’d like to be given an opportunity to establish a mutual relationship based on my trust, honesty and respect for you. It is said “luck happens when preparation meets opportunity.” But opportunity is also growing in North America. It’s noteworthy that (that) it is projected that the USA need for health professionals is simply not being met. There will be a projected shortage of at least 100,000 nurses and doctors given the demographic of my baby boomer generation now going into retiring. I had a measure of bad luck many years ago, in what was otherwise a very productive life, and now I am getting prepared to move on. It is my sincere hope in this crazy world, that two sincere and intelligent people can come together and help each other realize our own dreams. Many years ago I visited the Philippines (Manila and Cebu) and found the people very considerate, the culture very beautiful, and the pace of living very relaxing. I now want to get back to that somewhere. I will succeed, but I would enjoy some company on this adventure. Any and all inquiries or questions will be honored and treated with the thoughtful consideration they deserve.
