Anyone can stumble upon a treasure chest, but it takes a thoughtful, patient and willing person to recognize the prize held within.

It’s difficult to weed out all the chests full of fool’s gold, but this profile is brimming with gems. If you open it and look closely, you’ll find someone you can turn to for comfort and laughter, with a heart that doesn’t judge.

I hope to build a friendship, possibly even find someone I can share my dreams with, a woman I can devote my time to. I refuse to place boundaries where there are countless possibilities.

And just as a rosebush is nurtured into growth by sunlight and water, a friendship is ushered into existence with a delicate blend of willingness, communication and chemistry. So let’s plant a seed and see if we have what it takes to make roses grow…

Whoa… I kinda got carried away there for a minute. Let me come back down form the clouds and tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Travis, and after nine years in prison I finally have just a few months left before release. Going back out into the world is a bit intimidating, but I’ll be busy with college and (hopefully) hanging out with you. There’s a lot to look forward to!

For the past year I’ve spent most of my time intensively studying Spanish. I started out in an entry-level class offered to inmates, but it lasted less than a month because everyone quit except for me. Since then, I’ve logged about 2,500 hours of conversation with native speakers. I’d like to continue studying Spanish in college, but my primary focus will be either psychology so sociology.

I’m adventurous, happy (laughter might just be the best thing in the world), and I exercise regularly, as my health is important to me. And oh yeah: I have no children.

My interests are vast and wide-ranging, but I’m passionate about history and archaeology. I enjoy jet-skiing, snowboarding and driving too fast. I love all types of music… Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Pearl Jam, Halsey, Dua Lipa, Krewella, and countless others (Slayer lyrics!). Some of my favorite movies include “Queen of the Damned,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “The Count of Monte Cristo,” “Silver Linings Playbook,” and “A Star is Born.” My favorite books tend to be historical fiction and fantasy: James Clavell, Wilbur Smith, Patrick Rothfuss and Terry Goodkind.

Feel free to send me a letter… but I ‘d prefer to take on the phone or message (we have tablets here). You can send me your phone number, and I’ll call you pre-paid, and / or send me your e-mail address so I can invite you to the messaging app.

Oh, and by the way (in case you were wondering)…

I’m thankful for cats and penguins!
